NEW LIBRARIES IN THE JACKSON/HINDS LIBRARY SYSTEM

The Quisenberry Library, Clinton

A. E. Wood Library, located at 111 Clinton Boulevard, Clinton, MS, closed on April 14, 2010. The Quisenberry Library, located at 605 E. Northside Drive, Clinton, MS, opened May 3, 2010. It is the second largest branch in the Jackson/Hinds Library System, second to the Eudora Welty Library in downtown Jackson. A state of the art facility with many updated facets, it offers a large room devoted entirely to genealogical material, four quiet study rooms on a first-come first-served basis, and one very large meeting room (1,800 square feet) that can hold a maximum of 100 occupants.

Ella Bess Austin Library, Terry

The old Ella Bess Austin Library, located at 320 W. Cunningham Avenue, Terry, MS closed Tuesday, May 18, 2010. The new Ella Bess Ausitn Library, located at 420 W. Cunningham Avenue,Terry, MS opened June 7, 2010. It features 6 public computers, 2 conference rooms and free WiFi throughout the library.
