Eudora Welty Computer Classes

Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00 to 3:00

Class 1: BASIC SKILLS 101

Are you new to computers? This class will introduce you to basic computer terminology. Be ready to receive hands-on practice to help develop your mouse and keyboard skills.  

Class 2: E-MAIL FUNDAMENTALS

Learn how to send and receive messages from friends and family by setting up your very own e-mail account. If you already have an e-mail account, explore e-mail features including adding contacts to your address book, sending attachments, and forwarding.

Class 3: INTERNET I

Learn to locate information on the World Wide Web through Google, an online search engine. Discuss the difference between entering a direct web address in the search bar and locating similar information through the utilization of search engines.

Class 4: INTERNET II

Continue to explore all of the available information on the Internet.

Class 5: LIBRARY RESOURCES I

Discover what resources are available through JH Library system’s website. Learn how to search the Clarion-ledger and the New York Times without ever leaving your home. Stay current with a variety of online news sources!

Class 6: Microsoft Word Basics


Learn the basic skills involved in composing, editing, and printing a letter in Microsoft Word. Principal instruction will include how to alter font appearance through bold, italics, size and centering features.
