The Jackson Hinds Library System Board of Trustees has established a set of rules called the "Code of Conduct, which ensures that each of our libraries is a safe place where customers of all ages can enjoy library services in a positive environment.
JHLS provides Internet access to everyone, but has developed these rules to ensure a safe experience for those who are using our WIFI or public access computers.
Basic personal knowledge of computer use, software applications, and some knowledge about how to use the Internet are expected of patrons. Although library staff is able to offer searching suggestions and answer some questions, they cannot provide in-depth training on the Internet and personal computer use because of existing duties. Download the PDF for more information.
Jackson Hinds Library System offers wireless "WiFi" access to the Internet as part of the library system's service to its patrons. When using the JHLS' Internet service patrons are accepting the Internet Safety Policy. Patrons should take time to read the policy before using the Internet and accepting its terms. Download the PDF for more information.
