Location: Golden Key Center Meeting Room

The programs are a continuation of our Community Helpers series. We will shine the spotlight on the many wonderful people who make our communities better places to live, work, and play. We will have activities and crafts to accompany each program. Storytimes will include sharing with patrons who is Fannie Lou Hamer and several First Facts books about Community Helpers at Work; "A Day in the life of a Dentist", "A Day in the Life of a Doctor", "A Day in the Life of an Emergency Medical Technician", "A Day in the Life of a Police Officer" & etc. Participants will see what a real ambulance looks like inside, and what to do in case of a fire! Crafts will include construction paper, Popsicle sticks, stickers and an assortment of materials to make hats, badges, masks and costumes. There will be plenty of coloring sheets as well.

Beginning Oct 7, 2019, tweens and teens are challenged to design a costume based on/of their favorite book, author or character. This may also include community helpers. Participants' costumes must be completed by Oct. 29th.
