Welcome to the Fannie Lou Hamer Library.
Our library branch, which is named for Mississippi Civil Rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, is located inside the Golden Key Senior Center. Please stop by soon to check out our books, CD books and DVD selections or to use one of our public access computers.

Summer Reading Event: Beekeeping can be a fascinating hobby, a profitable sideline, or a full-time occupation.
Mississippi ranks 28th in the nation in honey production and produces about 2.25 million pounds of honey each year. Bees are fascinating and complex creatures that have proven beneficial to science and important to the planet, but it turns out they also have untapped musical talents. Bees have inspired some musicians to compose incredible music.

Summer Reading Event: Music comes in different forms and sounds. Every action has a rhythm. Whether it's mother nature's numerous creatures and plants to humans themselves with their many inventions or the simple routine of getting up each day. A Park Ranger from the Natchez Trace will share stories and insight on traveling down this historic roadway and the rhythmic sounds of long ago and today.
