About Eudora Welty Library

Eudora Welty Library is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Jackson at 300 North State Street. The 45,000 square foot building also houses the Information Resource Center with 40 public access computers, our Interlibrary Loan Department, the CABA legal research computers, the Mississippi Writer's Exhibit and the Administrative Offices for the library system.

Our children's area features a large collection of picture books and juvenile fiction and non-fiction. The Autism Resource Center is located on the first floor.

Everyone loves a good story! After school story-time is designed for elementary age children but everyone is welcome to attend. Halloween is right around the corner so it's the perfect time for spooky books like, "My Teacher is a Monster" and "Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich". Become a mad scientist and create your own monster flip book!
