The Musical Mat Station is an interactive piano mat that features 8 fun melodies and a Follow Me memory game. Ms. Cheryl will also read 2 books about music while the children and Maggie the Mascot are dancing to the beat on their musical mats.

The Fire Department will also bring the Fire Truck and Smoke House for kids to walk through. Educational coloring and activity sheets about the musical sound that the "Fire Truck" makes will also be available for all in attendance.

Summer Reading Event: Park Ranger, Amy Genke, from the Natchez Trace Parkway will explore sounds of the past, including birds and insect sounds that could be heard along the Natchez Trace throughout history. The Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians danced, sang and played instruments to pass the time, and the birds, frogs, and bugs continue to sing today. Children in attendance will discover songs of the past, and sounds of today along the Natchez Trace.
