POSITION: Branch Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited library school; two to three years of library experience with supervisory responsibility.  Public library experience is preferred.

DUTIES:
Supervise all branch operations including, but not limited to, planning and implementing branch programs; preparing work schedules for 3 full-time employee and 5 part-time employees.  Must be able to work well with library patrons, seeking to maintain excellent public relations between the branch and the local community.

HOURS:
40 hours per week, scheduled within the library hours of operation (10:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday – Thursday; 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday and 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday).  Also scheduled three to four times per year at the Eudora Welty Library (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Sunday).

COMPENSATION:
$27,725 minimum annual salary; excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance; State of Mississippi retirement plan.
